A training workshop was held at the Zanana Hospital on 27th-28th July 2017.
This was attended by 25 primary care physicians from Kurram Agency. This workshop was based on mhGAP guidelines by the World Health Organization but our team at Meditrina translated the treatment protocols and prepared handouts in Urdu for this training.
Some of these doctors later attended our camp at AHQ Hospital for a hands-on experience of detecting and treating common mental disorders.
We also used a training manual that we prepared for a previous MHPSS initiative (Bannu, 2014-15). The scores of pre-test and post-test (also translated into urdu) from this workshop were most encouraging.
